UK AGILE AWARDS - NOMINATIONS

Once again we have modified the Nomination & Judging Process in order to meet the suggestions from the Agile Community.  We have reduced the number of Award Categories to just 8 this year as we felt there was significant overlap last year.

We have introduced a Two Phase process this year.

Phase One is a simplified version of previous nominations processes.  All we ask at this stage is the name of your Nomination, be it an individual or organisation, and one sentence stating why you are making this nomination.  We also require contact details for you, and contact details for your nominee.

We anticipate that some names/organisations will be mentioned many times and some perhaps just once or twice.  Every nominee will be invited to participate in Phase Two.

As before, you may not nominate yourself, but we actively encourage you to seek nominations on your behalf from your clients, contacts and colleagues.  This phase begins on April 1st and closes on May 31st.

Phase Two commences on May 1st by way of inviting each nominee to submit a 1200 word (max) explanation of the work they have achieved in relation to their nomination.  We feel that this offers the Nominees a better opportunity to fully express and substantiate the nominations and of course gives the judges a far greater understanding of peoples projects, initiatives and experiences.  It will also assist us in giving greater explanations for our choices following the Short List process.  Phase Two will close on 30th June 2012.

Judging

As before, the judges will be given all of the documented nominations to review ahead of the Judging session towards the end of July.  Judges will each be given responsibility for one category in particular, although all judges will have access to every nomination.  Each judge will then lead the discussion on each Award Category and perhaps assist with advising on Short Listees.

A list of received nominations will be published periodically via the Agile Awards Bulletin and here on the website and a full list of all nominees will be published at the end of the nomination period again via the Bulletin and on this website. We will not publish the names of individuals or companies making nominations at any stage.

All nominations should be received by the closing date 31st May 2012 for Phase One and 30th June for Phase Two. Any received after this date will not be considered for this years awards.

Once the Phase Two submissions have all been received a shortlist of three nominees per category will be decided upon by industry luminaries and key Agile players who have agreed to be our Judging Panel. This will be published by the first week in September. The winners will be announced at the Agile Awards Dinner.
